Wamu is the worst of all of the banks I have ever dealt with. Chase can't take them over, shut them down and force them out of business soon enough.
My secured credit card account was closed, despite an excellent payment history, because I voiced displeasure over their banking practices, specifically, I was told that my secured account would be converted to a regular account after a year of on time payments. I complained when this did not happen; they closed my secured credit card, refused to reverse the closure, and refused to refund my security deposit . I was told that the secured account program was terminated.
Washington Mutual has consistently hit my account with erroneous overcharges, and the foreign telephone bankers are horrible.I'm closing my remaining Washington Mutual accounts, and filing a deceptive practice complaint with the attorney general in regards to Wamu . I'm going to laugh when Chase finally runs this scum bank out of business.
