Join a Chase mortgage modification class-action
We received this note from a reader:
Hagens Berman 206-623-7292 may be involved in a class action lawsuit on behalf of Chase customers who have been attempting to modify their mortgage loans.
From their website, I was able to find this case that involves several large banks (presumably including Chase) not providing loan modifications to eligible customers.

i think chase does alot of things crooked i just have to say i was a victum of debit card and bank fraud in 12/2010 they took care of my problem immediately it was so bad fraud dept 2 weeks for any money back after all done they paid 100 percent over 5000 they were not good about it i was never informed or told how to protect myself but i have read where a lot of banks pay nothing or like 1500 dollars they are not a good bank but they did do right on fraud thats all

I have since early august been trying to get through the modification process. I have now faxed almost 200 documents to them. In each case the day after I have sent them the documents they say they need the same documents sent. I have now sent a number of copies of documents to their representatives. It has become an extremely expensive process with no end in sight. Each time I speak with someone they say this is it and then the next time they say I have sent the wrong documents which is crap because I have sent them exactly what they have asked for. I seems like the process for them is to out last those trying to modify their loans because also after each submittal they send me a notice that if I don’t get the documents they want in 30 days they will stop the process when in fact they are the one convaluding the process .
